Multilayer circuit boards are actually laminated and bonded by etching several single-sided or double-sided boards. So, what are the advantages of multi-layer circuit boards compared with single-layer and double-layer circuit boards? Let me share with you.

1. Multilayer circuit boards have high assembly density and small volume; as electronic products become smaller and smaller, the demand for multilayer circuit boards is also increasing.

2. The multi-layer circuit board is convenient for wiring, the length of wiring is greatly shortened, and the connection between components is shortened, thereby improving the speed of signal transmission.

3. For high-frequency circuits, after adding the ground layer, the signal line will form a constant low impedance to the ground layer, the circuit impedance is greatly reduced, and the shielding effect is better.

4. For electronic products with high heat dissipation requirements, multilayer circuit boards can be equipped with metal core heat dissipation layers to meet the needs of special functions such as shielding and heat dissipation.
In terms of performance, multi-layer circuit boards are better than single- and double-sided boards, but the higher the number of layers, the higher the production cost, the longer the processing time, and the more complicated quality inspection.
The most common multilayer circuit board is the four-six-layer board. The difference between the four-layer board and the six-layer board is that there are two more internal signal layers between the middle layer, the ground layer and the power layer. The six-layer board is more than the four-layer board. Laminates should be thicker. The single-layer and double-layer boards are easy to distinguish. Hold the board and look at the light. Except for the wiring on both sides, the rest of the board is transparent. But for four-layer boards and six-layer boards, if there is no corresponding mark on the board, it is not so easy to make a simple distinction. Generally speaking, multilayer circuit boards have been widely used in the production and manufacture of electronic products because of their design flexibility, economical advantages, and stable and reliable electrical performance.
