In the production of circuit boards, the green oil bridge, also known as the solder resist bridge and the solder resist dam, is an "isolation belt" made by the circuit board factory for batch patching to prevent the short circuit of the SMD component pins. In order to control the green oil bridge of the FPC soft board (FPC flexible circuit board), it needs to be controlled during the solder mask process. There are two kinds of solder mask materials for FPC soft board: ink and cover film.
The role of FPC flexible circuit board solder mask
1. Surface insulation;
2. Protect the line and prevent line scars;
3. Prevent conductive foreign objects from falling into the circuit and cause short circuit.
The ink used for solder mask is generally photosensitive, called liquid photosensitive ink. Generally green, black, white, red, yellow, blue and so on. Cover films are generally available in yellow, black and white. Black has good shading and white has high reflectivity, and can be used for backlight FPC soft board (FPC flexible circuit board) instead of white oil black. FPC flexible board (FPC flexible circuit board) can be solder masked with ink or with cover film.
